2022 North American Cup Series

Mar 21, 2022

Climbing Escalade Canada and USA Climbing are excited to announce that the North American Cup Series (NACS) will return in 2022.

NACS features the three individual disciplines of climbing – bouldering, lead and speed – and allows athletes from the Americas the opportunity to compete at an elite level and develop outside of the World Cup circuit. The 2022 NACS will kick off in Alexandria, Va. at the end of April and will consist of five stops across North America.

2022 Dates and Locations:

  • April 27 – May 1 Sport Rock, Alexandria, Va. (Bouldering, Lead, Speed)
  • June 10-11 GoPro Mountain Games, Vail, Colo. (Bouldering)
  • July 15-17 Richmond Olympic Oval, Richmond, British Columbia (Lead, Speed)
  • Aug. 19-21 Jackalope Festival, Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Quebec (Bouldering)
  • Sept. 16-18 TBD. (Lead, Speed)

“The 2021 NACS was a leap of faith by both our organizations, and we are proud that the athlete community responded in such a positive way! We are excited to have a common vision for the development of elite athletes in North America, and see this program repeat in 2022.’ said Christiane Marceau, Executive Director of Climbing Escalade Canada

“We are very happy with the success of the inaugural North American Cup Series in 2021 and thrilled to once again partner with our friends at Climbing Escalade Canada to develop the next generation of climbers,” said Marc Norman, CEO of USA Climbing.

Participants in the Series must be licensed with and register through their respective National Federations. Detailed information sheets for each event including registration, training availability, time schedules, etc. will be provided a minimum of 30 days prior to each event. Rules for the events will be published to CEC and USAC websites. Please note that due to the coronavirus pandemic, timeline of registration and events may be adjusted as we progress.
